Abstract

Tuberclosis is an ancient chronic disease which still is threatens humans society. Although the lung is the main site of involvement with tuberclosis, GI tract involvement is sometimes seen. The most important point is the management of equivocal signs and symptoms and intestinal complications. We report a 14 year old girl with severe intestinal tuberclosis with intestinal obstruction, perforation, and multiple fistulae during five months ICU admission, three operations, anti tuberculosis drugs, wide spectrum antibiotics and TPN control the infection. In third operation we managed the intestinal fistulase. The main task is tuberclosis infection management with anti- TB drugs during the TPN, conservative management of secondary infection, dermatitis and electrolyte management. If these are not managed the tuberclosis fistulas cannot be repaired.
