Abstract

This is a descriptive Cross - sectional study that was evaluated the KNOWLEDGE of PARENTS about BRUCELLOSIS in Rustics and Hamadan city.Study was included 600 PARENTS in Rustics and Hamadan city, data was gathered through a questionnaire.The questionnaire contain two parts: A - demographic information (4 items) B - KNOWLEDGE about BRUCELLOSIS (28 items). Statistical analysis was performed by descriptive and inferential statisti cs.The results of this study showed that 61/4% of PARENTS have good KNOWLEDGE and 38/6% of them have weak KNOWLEDGE.The most KNOWLEDGE rate of PARENTS in Rustic was 74/7% of transmission disease 1 and the most KNOWLEDGE rate of PARENTS in the city was 61/6% of prevention disease.The most of information received source PARENTS in Rustic was 44/3% of health - Medicinal personnel and 41% of Radio and Television.The most of information sources in the city were Radio, Television, book and magazme. There is an expressive connection between source of information received and KNOWLEDGE of PARENTS in Rustic. x2=14/07, df=2 p=0.002.There is no expressive connection between KNOWLEDGE, and level of education, business, sex and age.
