Abstract

Among the dimensions of sustainable development, the social dimension is recognized as one of the main dimensions. Paying more attention to the principles of sustainability and pursuing its goals has been given more and more attention in development planning. The main purpose of this study is to investigate and evaluate Social Sustainability indicators in North Khorasan province. The waspas technique was used to determine the level of Social Sustainability. The research method of this study is descriptive-analytical and in terms of purpose. The studied indices were extracted through library studies and the use of province statistical yearbooks. According to the research findings, the indicators of "Social Sustainability" in the form of Vaspas Model show that Bojnourd city (0. 856) has the highest and most desirable conditions in terms of Social Sustainability, and Esfarain has the highest score. (009) has the most undesirable conditions in terms of Social Sustainability indicators. The results also show that there is a significant correlation between the coefficient (Q) of sustainable social development and the number of cities in the province. In fact, the distribution and distribution of resources and benefits, which is the most important factor defining the relationship of population and development, has not been balanced in the provincial cities. Therefore, the present study requires special attention of city officials and managers at different levels of decision making and considering the status quo in upstream plans.
