Abstract

Purpose: Introducing INFORMATION EXTRACTION and extracting concepts, which are two important processes in DATA MINING and text analysis, and Expression of differences between the two processes, Emphasis is placed on the use of DATA MINING in the NAJA to detect crimes Metodology: In this research, using the library method and reviewing the documents of the documents, information about the extraction of information and the extraction of the concept, methods and applications, and the challenges of these two processes were discussed. In this regard, kinds of INFORMATION EXTRACTION and some INFORMATION EXTRACTION systems as well as INFORMATION EXTRACTION system architectures and a proposed architecture for concept extraction have been presented and the differences between these two processes And its various methods, challenges and applications have been described. Findings: The results of the research show that the extraction of information and the extraction of the concept are two important topics in DATA MINING and text analysis. INFORMATION EXTRACTION is a keyword-based retrieval, while extracting concepts that are not related to the keywords, and it deals with extracting the meaning that user inferred from the text which This meaning may not necessarily be in the keywords. And it can be said extraction of information and extraction of concepts is a cyclic process, which is a continuously rich and dynamic cycle. Also, based on the results of the research, DATA MINING has various applications in various industries of production, services and especially imaginative applications for NAJA.
