Abstract

The aim of this paper is to explore and measure the effect of Monetary Policies on the investment of the main sectors in the Iraninan economy. The writer shows that real per capita investment in Iran has decreased drastically in the past two decades. Moreover, the structure of the investment and capital flows has totally changed. It is claimed that the oil income, household"s poverty, government"s economic policies and structural economic constraints have been the main reasons of investment distortion in Iran. In addition to these arrangements, the econometric estimations prove that the Monetary Policies have had a significant effect on investment in the services and industry sectors.
