Abstract

Introduction: The issue of Security feeling is a multidimensional phenomenon and various factors are associated with it. In each society, some organizations are involved in maintaining Security, which is called a police or law enforcement in our country. They try to maintain public safety and Security and aim to provide good performance in the area of responsibility to ensure public Security in the community. In this regard, the purpose of this article is to examine the police performance on the level of public safety of citizens. Method: The present research for purposes of good is applicable via research method. The population of the study consisted of all citizens of Shiraz, selecting 384 peaple through random sampling. A questionnaire was used to collect data. Waich data was analyzed by SPSS software using two levels of descriptive analysis (single variable regression). Findings: The results indicate that most respondents have evaluated the police performance in the city of Shiraz, in medium level there is also a positive significate relationship between police performance and dimensions of feeling Security such as financial, personal social and etc. Conclusion: The role of police in controlling crimes is deniable. It needs appropriate action against reports and concerns of citizens to close suspicious places, to sell and distribute drugs, or to collect addicted and disturbing people.
