Abstract

Early diagnosis of susceptible individuals to PERIODONTAL DISEASE and determination of disease activity are important factors and in spite of wide spread advancement in periodontology, exact and definite ascertaining of these factors is not still possible.Use of GINGIVAL CERVICULAR FLUID components as a simple way for evaluation of condition and progression of disease in the present and future, Proposed by many authors and advance studies was performed on biologic substances of this fluid.There are different components in gingival cervicular enviroment but only a limited number of them are useful as a marker for chiarside evaluation of disease activity and the most important of these are: Aspartate aminotransferase, interleakin 1b ,b -glucuronidase, calprotectin, chondroitin sulfate - 4 and elastase.Surely, assigning of actual usefulness of results obtained from tests designed for assessment of this components need to longitudinal and comprehensive evaluation. However designing of dignostic kit with no complex instruments and procedure and with maximum accurcy and minimum of time saving to indicate disease activity and susceptibility of persons to disease progression, can profoundly influence on our treatment planing and quality of disease confronting.
