Abstract

Today, leading organizations have realized that in order to survive in the fast-paced world of information and continuous environmental change, it is essential to become knowledge-based through the implementation of Knowledge Management in the organization. The purpose of this study is to design and implement a model of Organizational readiness assessment to become a knowledge-based organization. Being prepared for Knowledge Management means the ability of an organization, department, or work group to accept, use, and benefit from it successfully. This research is a descriptive survey and provides a model for measuring Organizational readiness in Knowledge Management. This model, after the approval of experts and the necessary reforms, consisted of 21 sub-criteria and 5 main criteria of leadership, staff, culture, process and technology. The reliability of the model was measured and confirmed by Cronbach's alpha and the two-half methods. In the two-way method, the overall reliability coefficient of the test was 0. 931 and in the Cronbach's alpha method was 0. 877. Based on this, a questionnaire consisted of 53 design questions and were distributed in the statistical population of a research center. The received responses were tested and analyzed with the help of descriptive and radar diagrams of the center's status in each of the criteria. The results of the research show that the center is in a good position in the criteria of "usefulness" and "fit in goals" and is not in a good position in other factors. Finally, suggestions have been made based on the results obtained.
