Abstract

Background: At the base of multiple studies ACROMEGALY patients are at the risk of polyps and colonic cancer risk. Risk of colonic cancer in these patients was reported 23-53 % in different studies. There have been not any studies about prevalence of COLONIC POLYPs and cancers in IRAN. Results: This research that has been done in shariati hospital the prevalence of COLONIC POLYPs in patients ACROMEGALY was 22%. The results of this research were similar to other studies. This means that the protocol of the screening of these patient also can be similar. Conclusion: Then we recommended the screening of this patients for polyps and colonic cancers be initiated from 40 years and also repeated every three years.
