Abstract

Background: Among the many factors which affect the prognosis of breast cancers, two of them estogene & progestrone receptors (ER & PR) have been studied in many studies. Materials and Methods: In our study 114 patients with BREAST MALIGNANCY reviewed since 1379-1381 in shariati hospital. Results & Conclusion: The incidance rate of ER & PR were positive in 62/2% and 51/8% respectively. Also ER was positive in 66/7% of INVASIVE DUCTAL CARCINOMA & 77/8% of INVASIVE LOBULAR CARCINOMA, whereas all of medullary carcinoma were negative, that show significant variation (P=0/00l). Progestrone receptor was positive in 75/1% of INVASIVE DUCTAL CARCINOMA & 55/6% of INVASIVE LOBULAR CARCINOMA but non of medullary carcinoma, that show significant variation (P=0/008). The nuclear grade & histologic grade were not show significant variation with Er & PR expression.
