Abstract

Introduction: Nurses have an essential role in providing quality care with their behavior and performance. Self-efficacy is the main factor in creating the behavior and performance of a human. Spiritual Intelligence as the foundation of human beliefs has a positive impact on the production and flexibility in solving people's problems. The purpose of this study determines the relationship between Nurses' Spiritual Intelligence with Self-efficacy in the Khorramabad city Public hospitals in 2018. Methods: This was a descriptive correlational study. The study population was all Nurses working at public hospitals in Khoramabad city in 2018. Using the Quota sampling method, 244 samples were selected. Data were collected using the Spiritual Intelligence questionnaire and the Self-efficacy questionnaire. Data were analyzed using inferential statistics and Pearson correlation tests and multiple linear regression (stepwise) with the SPSS software version. Results: The mean of Spiritual Intelligence and Self-efficacy of the Nurses was 148. 61 ± 17. 16 and 61. 18 ± 8. 10. The findings showed that Spiritual Intelligence a positive and significant relationship with self – efficacy of the Nursesˊ Khorramabad city Public hospitals (r = 0. 496). Pearson's correlation coefficient showed a strong positive correlation between all the components of Spiritual Intelligence (self – awareness r = 0. 258), moral queries (r = 0. 321), general thinking (r = 0. 288), the ability to copper. (r = 0. 400) with the self – efficacy (P < 0. 05). Also, general thinking and the ability to copper were able to predict 26 percent of the variance of Nurses’ self – efficacy. Conclusions: Nurses with higher Spiritual Intelligence were more Self-efficacy. Therefore, suggested that training and retraining classes be held at regular intervals to enhance Nurses' mental skills and then improve Self-efficacy and Nurses' performance in health care services.
