Abstract

Background and aim: The purpose of this study is to develop a Strategic Plan for the development of public sport in the National Iranian Oil Company. Methods: The statistical population of the study consisted of managers, chief executives of the main companies and the affiliated company of the National Iranian Oil Company (12 members as a strategic board), and experts and elites in the field of physical education at the Office of the Directorate General of Health, Physical Education and Social Responsibility of the Ministry of Oil, Sports and experts who had a key role and experience in the field of public activities and activities of the National Iranian Oil Company (80 people). In this research, all subjects of the research community were considered as a sample of the study. A survey and strategic meetings were used to collect data The instrument was a researcher-made questionnaire whose validity was confirmed by some experts and its reliability was calculated by Cronbach's alpha (α = 0. 79). Friedman test and SWOT analysis were used to analyze the data. Results: The results showed that Iran's National Iranian Oil Company is at the strategic position of WT. However, all of the 12 strategies developed to fulfill the mission and its long-term goals were selected. Conclusion: Therefore, the National Iranian Oil Company should use a defensive strategy (change or drop) to minimize weaknesses and avoid threats.
