Abstract

Multiple Sclerosis is one of the most common neurological patients. Pain is a common phenomenon in MS patients and it has recently been shown that it plays an important role in mental health and quality of life of these individuals, so that the severity of pain further leads to a weaker performance in most of the components of mental health and social function, Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral group therapy on the Perception of Pain in MS patients. The present study was a descriptive, quasi-experimental study. Among the individuals referring to brain and neurologists in the province of Alborz, 30 subjects were selected in a purposeful and accessible way and divided into two groups of 15 (two experimental and one The control group was divided into two groups. After examining the pain with the MPG, the experimental group received 8 sessions of treatment and the control group did not receive any treatment during this period. The results of Ancoe and Mankwa tests showed that the variables of pain were different in the experimental and control groups. In assessing the scores, evaluating the pain, the pain was not significant (P <0. 05).
