Abstract

Previously, the study narrator and focalization in the story were generally And summed up from the perspective angle. With the introduction of structuralism theories by some pundits, especially Genet, these two were examined more carefully and separated. The narrator is the one who tells the story, and a focalizer means someone who observes something, and then he pays attention. Hadiya Hussein is an Iraq's contemporary novelist and writer who has managed to become one of the most successful Arab female novelists by writing several novels, among others is novel fi Altariq Elayhem, which is written with a personal-social look at the issues of Iraqi society that day. This descriptive-analytical study seeks to investigate the two components mentioned in this novel. In most parts of the novel, the internal focalizer be identical to the narrator. That is both are the same spirit of Amal. As such, the narrator owns the main window of focalization. The two are sometimes separated in a limited way, and the internal focalizer becomes the external focalizer and homodiegetic narration becomes the heterodiegetic narration.
