Abstract

 The purpose of this study was to evaluate the neuroscientific knowledge, thinking styles and preferred teaching style of Teachers of primary schools in Amol city in the years 2018-2019. The statistical population of this study consisted of all elementary school Teachers in Amol city in the academic year of 2018-2019. 98 individuals were selected using available sampling method. After selecting the samples, Teachers were asked to answer the Teachers' Neurological knowledge Scale (Herculano-Houzel, 2002), Sternberg thinking styles Questionnaire (Sternberg & Wagner, 1992), and teaching style preference Questionnaire (Moosapoor, 1998). The findings showed that Teachers tend to have a significantly more active teaching style (p < 0. 0001, t = 9. 01). Also, the results of one sample showed that all Teachers surveyed were in the middle class in terms of Neurological knowledge (p < 0. 005, t =-14. 73) according to the average scores obtained from the questionnaires. and having more of a Legislative thinking style (p < 0. 0001, t = 13. 43) and a Liberal thinking style (p < 0. 0001, t = 12. 19), and less than of the Conservative thinking style (p < 0. 001, t =-3. 40). and they used the executive thinking style (p < 0. 0001, t = 2. 88) and the judicial thinking style (p < 0. 0001, t = 9. 41) more than average.
