Title

Multicultural education: Reflection on the Best Practice of successful teachers in schools

Abstract

 The current study aims to identify the performance and criteria of the success of outstanding teachers in the field of Multicultural Education. To this reason, qualitative research and the method of the Best Practice have been used as the basis of the research and semi-structured interview were used to collect data and to analyze qualitative content for analyzing data. In order to use the Best Practice method, four stages including plan, search, observation and collect and analysis were implemented. The number of successful teachers in Multicultural Education in 2014-2015 included 5 people who were interviewed by all teachers in a semi-structured interview. The interviews were conducted by the teachers on the paper and analyzed using the content analysis method. Findings show that 14 key points in the success of teachers in Multicultural Education played an important role. Tips like teachers 'positive attitudes toward diversity and differences and similarities, the use of speech and speech styles of students at home and their culture in classroom conversations, continuous communication with students' parents, recognition of the multiple identities of students and the development of language, their historical and cultural knowledge in class, the living environments of students outside of school. the living environments of students outside of school.
