Abstract

The aim of this study was to construct and validate a visual projection test to evaluate PTSD derangement in causalities of the war and NAJA. The research method was a kind of quasiexperimental. The statistical population of the study included all the casualties of the war and NAJA stricken by PTSD derangement who were hospitalized following the catastrophe at Isar Professional Psychiatry Hospital of Ardabil province in 2020. 50 people were selected by convenience sampling method. Firstly, In order to construct the test, 50 scenes of the reminiscent war scenes and of the conflict were chosen and some images related to these scenes were provided. Following that, from all these images, 20 images were chosen and given to the patients in two ten-number-image sessions. Thereafter, they were asked to share memories of their own experiences in the war or conflict. The test was performed by the visual projection method using researchermade cards and the received stories created by the patients. The results achieved from the Rock test curve indicated the optimal level of cut-off scores in relation to this test and the Medical Imaging Confidence Index (MICI ( test. According to the results, it could be declared that the visual projection test designed to evaluate PTSD possesses an acceptable validity and can be used by psychologists and psychiatrists.
