Abstract

Burnout is one of the main factors in reducing efficiency, loss of human resources and causing physical and psychological consequences, especially in the human service professions. The aim of this study is to understand the relationship between Job Stress and Burnout better, considering the role of Job Loneliness and Entrepreneurial Orientation of the managers in Iranian Ministry of Justice. The statistical population of this study includes 300 managers in top, middle, and operational level. According to Morgan table and simple random sampling method, 169 people were selected as the sample size. In this study, four valid questionnaires were used to measure the variables. Structural Equation Modeling in Lisrel was used to analyze the data. The results of the study show that Job Stress has been confirmed as a strong predictor of Burnout of managers. As well, loneliness plays a significant mediating role in the relationship between Job Stress and Burnout of managers. Moreover, the results show that the Entrepreneurial Orientation negatively moderated the effect of Job Stress on managers' Burnout. These findings can help to improve the future research aimed at studying the impact of other psychological factors, and entrepreneurial experience on Burnout in managers. According to the findings of this study, psychologically empowering managers at different levels of the Ministry of Justice, as a stressful institution, and strengthening entrepreneurial characteristics in them, prevent Burnout, poor performance, and boredom.
