Abstract

Based on GLOBALIZATION movement, NEW PUBLIC MANAGEMENT has become a dominant approach in public sector reforms. Iranian public management uses NEW PUBLIC MANAGEMENT for achieving goals of serving the public. The objective of this strategy is to revolutionize the public sector. But what is the NEW PUBLIC MANAGEMENT? What are its major elements? What are the advantages and disadvantages of this strategy? The purpose of this paper is to answer these questions.
