Abstract

Acute MYELOID LEUKEMIA (AML) is a malignant disorder that induces anemia, neutropenia and thrombocytopenia. Although AML is an aquired disorder, but immunologic and genetical factors may be involved in it's etiology.A few articles about familial leukemia and also familial hematologic and nonhematologic malignancies were reported previously. However, no data is available about evidence of AML and PLASMA CELL LEUKEMIA in a family.This is the first report about the matter from Tabriz. Similar malignant changes were observed in both father and son. Probably as genetical factors were involved in this family, we conclude that cytogenetic factors must be studied in all of hematologic neoplasms.
