Abstract

Visualizing ECLIPSe with naked eye have been reported previously to cause eye injuries. Ten patients with eye complications were referred to our hospital. All of them were males and had been exposed to ECLIPSe occured on 11 th August,1999 at Tabriz. On examination 9 of them had mild to moderate keratitis and were treated by topical steroids. One patient had central scotoma with dropping of vision to 4/10. He applied protective glasses .He was initially treated by I.V. administration of corticosteroid (1.5 mg/kg/day) and then treatment was continued orally. Vision returned to normal at the end of week three.
