Abstract

Fibromatosis refers to an unusual proportion of CONNECTIVE FIBROUS TISSUE. It consists of a wide range of lesions along with different replacements during different ages. Clinically, fibomatosis produces masses similar to tumors of soft tissue, especially sarcoma, because it has unlimited bounds, and it infiltrates peripheral tissues. It is biologically intermediated between benign fibroma and fibrosarcoma. Recurrence is likely, but metastasis would never occur. In viewing the archives of the pathology Department of Imam Reza Hospital over the past 30 years, only 26 cases were found related to fibromatosis. Among these one case on the head and neck area will be described.
