Abstract

Introduction: Treatment of subjective idiopathic tinnitus is very difficult and many different treatments are available at present with different response rate. In this study, the effectiveness of transcutaneous ELECTRICAL STIMULATION in SUBJECTIVE TINNITUS was evaluated.Materials and Methods: 62 patients with SUBJECTIVE TINNITUS were entered to this study. Transcutaneous ELECTRICAL STIMULATION was applied weekly by dual channel TENS stimulator.Results: 51.2% of patients have had good response to this treatment. All of these patients explained a tinnitus which was tolerable and there was not sleep disturbance at least for 6 months.
