Abstract

Hemangiomas are benign vascular tumors. They frequently occur in the head, neck, trunk and extremities but very rarely in the scrotum and testicular regions with only a few cases reported in the scientific literature. We here report a case of a 54-year-old man with SPERMATIC CORD CAVERNOUS HEMANGIOMA. The patient was admitted with a painless mass on the right aspect of the scrotum in Al-Zahra Hospital, Isfahan.In ultrasonographic evaluation, an oval, hypo-echo, subcapsular lesion measuring 1.5x2x2.2 cm on the posterior aspect of the right testis with a honeycombing appearance and suspicion of neoplasia was reported. ORCHIECTOMY of the right testicle was performed. In pathologic evaluation, a brown-colored mass, measuring 2.5 cm in largest dimension on the posterior aspect of testicle in SPERMATIC CORD region was seen. Microscopic and immunohistochemical study showed a benign vascular tumor composed of vascular spaces of varying size and lining by endothelial cells. CAVERNOUS HEMANGIOMA of SPERMATIC CORD was reported.
