Abstract

Introduction. Primary vaginal malignant melanoma is one of the rarest tumors that embraces %2.8-5 of the vaginal cancers. This lesion is mostly seen in menopausal ages. The clinical symptoms are, bleeding and vaginal discharge. Different kinds of cytomorphologic consist of: Melanoma with full growth epithelioid or spindle that may have the alveolar and trabecular or combined patterns. The best and the most definite diagnosis method for vaginal melanoma is immunohistochemical method. Although surgely can be the chosen treatment, the combined chemotherapy and internal and external radiotherapy are used. Despite the various treatment methods prognosis of the disease is very poor. Cases Report. In this article two patients 38 and 67 years of age respectively were Introduced to our center. Both patient's complaints were vaginal bleeding. The lesion was situated in the middle and lower left lateral vaginal wall. After biopsy through immunohistochemical methods, the diagnosis of the disease has been determined. We started to treat the patients with surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Recurrence in the tumors site within the duration of five and nine months was seen in both patients and now after 18 and 24 months, both patients are healthy and continuing serial follow up procedure.Discussion. Primary vaginal malignant melanoma is rare, so these patients reported.
