Abstract

Most of multiple cystic hepatic masses are benign. Cystic hepatic metastasis is not common and the origin of most of them is colorectal carcinoma or neuroendocrine tumors. Cystic hepatic metastasis is in the differential diagnosis of cystic liver masses. Cystic areas can be due to either inproportional increased growth rate to feeding blood supply or secondary to mucinous component in metastatic lesions of the tumors as well as their primary tumor.We reported a 65 year old man with multiple cystic liver masses and a left pulmonary hillar mass. Radiologic and histologic investigations confirmed a pulmonary hillar adenocarcinoma as the origin of cystic liver masses.Cystic LIVER METASTASIS is rare but early diagnosis is important to select the adequate treatment for patients.
