Abstract

Describe a rare case of intraabdominal PERIPHERAL PRIMITIVE NEUROECTODERMAL TUMOR (PPNET) which was originated from bowel mesentery. The patient was a 12-year-old boy with progressive lower abdominal distension. Computed tomography showed a large mass with solid and cystic density in middle and lower part of abdomen with probably source for rereoperitoneam. At surgery we found a huge mass occupied lower part of abdomen and originated from ileal mesentery. Histopathologic examination of the resected tumor showed PPNET with typical immunohistochemical features. This is one of the first documentation of pPNET with localization of SMALL BOWEL MESENTERY.
