Abstract

While oil constitutes half of the world trade, why this commodity is not included in WTO negotiations. Is this because of the will of rich oil - consumer countries, who have accepted the existence of OPEC and the role of market in price determination but prefer that the market be dominated by political factors. In contrast, the oil-exporting states expect that by entering oil negotiations in the WTO context, the import duties in oil - importing industrial countries should be reduced, and expect to reap more profit through an increase in oil demand. If the WTO engages in the negotiation of oil like other commodities, the price of oil will be determined by market forces, rather than the political influence of western countries. By accepting more oil-exporting countries in the WTO, more international oil companies will operate in their countries will not be able to enforce their energy policies after joining the WTO.
