Abstract

In order to determine the prevalence of gonococcal infection of genital tract in women, 1922 women between the ages of 15-44 were examined. This study was carried on by making smear from secretions of endocervical area by swabs and then by gram staining the slides. Among 1922 smears, 12 smears were positive regarding the gram negative diplococcus.
