Abstract

Purpose: To report a case of central retinal artery occlusion after neurosurgical repair of INTRACRANIAL ANEURYSM.Patients and Findings: A 23-year-old woman presented with loss of vision in the right eye following repair of INTRACRANIAL ANEURYSM. Visual acuity was NLP in the right eye and funduscopic examination showed cherry-red-spot appearance, Systemic evaluations were all negative for causes of CRVO.Conclusion: This case confirms the risk of postoperative blindness after repair of INTRACRANIAL ANEURYSM. So it was advised that all of the patients with paraclinoid aneurysm should receive precise postoperative neuro ophthalmologic examinations.
