Abstract

 Nowadays, achieving to the approach of determining equilibrium exchange rate, is an important issue for economist. In this paper, in all monetary models of exchange rate equilibrium determination under hyperinflation, we have focused on modified monetary model of Cagan demand money. Based on this monetary model, exchange rate is derermined by domestic money supply and demand in the money market. This approach gave rise to the present value models of both price level and exchange rate. This implies that, as a consequence of dOllarization,agents denominate their real domestic money holdings in foreign currency.
