Abstract

Migrane is one of the most common neurologic sequels which recur in the form of periodic headaches with different severity and duration.This descriptive study was carried out on 200 patients, referred to Social security hospital of Khoramabad in autumn 2001, to determine some migraine initiating and AGGRAVATING FACTORS.After the diagnosis of disease by migraine criteria, patients were asked about effect of some AGGRAVATING FACTORS on the severity of headache. Then data was collected and analyzed using SPSS software.Results showed that noise was the most frequent aggravating factor (86.5%).44% of the females and 24% of the males said that bathing more than one hour, results in aggravating headache (PV=0.04).Some different information about effect of foodstuffs on severity of headache was obtained.31.5% of the patients stated that some foodstuffs aggravate their headache.10.50% of them said that foodstuffs have no effect on the severity of headache.
