Abstract

 In the Persian literature, STORY telling plays an important role. JAMI, the great poet of the 9th century, has used stories in his works. One of his great works is Sobhatol Abrar which is full of facts presented in the form of stories in order to make the reader interested. One can understand the sweetness of stories when their origin is known. The present study has made an attempt to shed light on this aspect. The findings show that in composing the book, JAMI has used many sources but 'Resale Ghoshayrieh' and 'Ehya Oloom ai-Din' have been more influential.
