Abstract

Today dentistry is one of interested sciences in the world. Dentistry has at least ten speciality. 558 dental students were asked about interst to post graduate programs (Summer of 1380). These students selected from Tehran, Beheshti, Azad and Shahed Universities. One of the aims of this survay was to compare capacity of residency Acceptance with appliers for post graduate programs. Results as follows: 438 (78.5%) students were interested to residency programs. 120 (21.5%) students were not interested to residency program. Specialities which were the most interesting among the students are: 1) Orthodontics 2) Oral & maxillofacial surgery 3) Endodontics. 4) Operative. 5) paediatrics. 6) Prosthodontics 7) Periodontics. 8) Oral & maxillofacial pathology. 9) Oral, medicine. 10) Radiology. This survey has shown that most of graduates of dentistry want to continue post graduates programs.
