Abstract

Journal of Psychologyand Education has published 179 papers during 21 years. The purpose of the present study is to explore the characteristics of paper citations in terms of type of the sources, the prominant languge of citations, as well astheir full life.To fulfill the objectivesof the study, citation and content analysis methods was applied to analyze the 2462 citations. Findings indicate that the citations are mostly "book-based", the average time interval is 8.5 years, and the prominant language of the citations is English. There can be found some type of correlation between findingsof the present study and the previous ones in the field.
