Abstract

Background & Aims: Family planning is a program in controlling increasing rate of population throughout the country. Male's participation in family planning programs tends to promote life standards and help national development, but males not very willingly to accept VASECTOMY. This study aimed to investigate the NURSING PERSONNEL PERSPECTIVEs of health center of Khoy toward VASECTOMY BARRIERS in 1384.Materials & Methods: This descriptive - analytic and micro level study was performed on 66 NURSING PERSONNEL who were selected randomly. Data gathering tool was a questionnaire and analyzing data was done by SPSS package. Results: According to the results, the mean age of the subjects was 29.32±5.64 and 60.6% of them were women, licensed, registered nurse and 48.5% were married for more than ten years and had 2 to 4 children of both sexes. The major BARRIERS orderly includes: Irreversibility, permanent infertility, family blame or regarding it as contrary to social culture. Among demographic variables, there was a significant correlation only between age and literacy level with subjects attitudes.Discussion: Regarding the findings and main role of family planning in promotion of country progress, it is recommended to promote population knowledge and attitude through an accurate planning, reorganization, and elimination of VASECTOMY BARRIERS.
