Abstract

In present-day society, because of over work, men constantly feel tired. The importance of LEISURE TIME and its spending style is unrevealed for everyone. A proper Leisure can have a positive effect on person’s life to enjoy his life and it is not limited to the individual but it includes the society. To balance (adjustment) the LEISURE TIME causes benefiting and mental-psych health and misuse of it leads to soul weariness. With respect to its importance, a lot of research is being done by scholars and sociologists and they have presented different definitions and different spending LEISURE TIME. Islam has stated a lot of recommendations and presented different useful and effective methods to spend leisure. This article with descriptive-analytic method has examined Islamic approaches for spending leisure meanwhile has mentioned different attitudes of SOCIAL-sciences scholars and sociologists.
