Abstract

Objective: TUBERCULOSIS of the genital tract is a rare disease in developed countries. The fallopian tubes are involved in almost all patients. Constitutional symptoms are not common in patients with genital TUBERCULOSIS and many cases present with symptoms such as infertility, chronic pelvic pain, amenorrhea and abnormal uterine bleeding. After clinical study and laboratory evaluations TUBERCULOSIS is detected.The first line treatment is antiTUBERCULOSIS chemotherapy, and all patients with genital TUBERCULOSIS are cured with this treatment.Results: In this study we report four patients with Genital TUBERCULOSIS presenting with different symptoms (Two cases with pelvic mass, one case with amenorrhea and one case with DUB).TUBERCULOSIS was diagnosed at the time of laparotomy and histhopatological evaluation of all specimens. The cases were cured with antiTUBERCULOSIS treatment.Conclusion: Different clinical manifestations can be expected in cases of genital TUBERCULOSIS.The management of genital TUBERCULOSIS is the same as respiratory system involvement and patients are cured with this treatment.
