Abstract

Background: Information on the number and causes of DEATH is one of the basic components of a country's health information system. The present study was performed to investigate the cause of DEATH and the perinatal mortality in one year in Mashhad, IranMaterials and Methods: Using medical DEATH certifications, a total of 12,251 cases were reviewed. Data - processing with S.P.S.S led to three diagrams.Results: The first cause of DEATH was cardiovascular diseases (20%), and perinatal DEATH, 19% of the total, was the second cause of DEATH (Figure 3).Conclusion: Our findings are somewhat similar to those of other researches from all over the world, except the perinatal mortality.
