Abstract

 Challenges between architecture teaching and architecture profession have indicated deficiencies in educational disciplines and methods used in architecture schools. In this regard, many researches, varieties of theories and teaching methods have been carried out. Today with facilities and capabilities which advanced computer programs provide, it is essential that academic disciplines have some revision in architecture teaching. PBL is a new approach which have been considered and analyzed by many teaching institutes in Iran and all around the world. PBL can consider as appropriate solution to many challenges. On the other hand, extensive development of CAAD systems and their undeniable capabilities in architecture not only have given motivation and eager to students to use them, but also have made different reflection in teaching schools.This article presents a new real model by developing and combining PBL and CAAD. in order to teach architectural design. In the initial stage an obvious picture of Iranian teaching schools' atmosphere have been evaluated. Subsequently, some approaches and different points of view in architecture teaching have been studied and analyzed. Since, our article fundamental discussions are based on combination of PBL and CAAD; an accurate definition and their relations to the design and architecture teaching is presented and explained.
