Abstract

The objectives of this study was to investigate the changes in BLOOD PRESSURE(systolic and diastolic) and WEIGHT during Ramadan -fasting month in apparently healthy Muslim scholars Eighty college-students were followed in 5 states before, during and after the month of Ramadan.The results showed a decrease significantly in WEIGHT and means systolic and diastolic BLOOD PRESSURE (p<0/05). These Findings contribute to a better understanding of the contradicting results reported by various investigators .Ramadan-Fasting month can result in reducing WEIGHT and BLOOD PRESSURE.
