Abstract

A descriptive-analytic study was performed to assess the effect of different FACTORs on BIRTH WEIGHT (fetal growth) during pregnancy at health care centers of Bojnord.Data were obtained from a random sample of 118 family charts existed in settings. Statistical analysis of data showed that there was a significant and strong relationship between BIRTH WEIGHT and PARITY, and length of PREGNANCY INTERVAL. Also a weak association was observed between mother's age and BIRTH WEIGHT.The other FACTORs such as mother's level of education, economic and social status of family had no effect on BIRTH WEIGHT.
