Abstract

The present investigation is done with the purpose of the effect of Gestalt therapy approach in group method in promotion MENTAL HEALTH of female students of Islamic Azad University-Islamshahr. Statical population of present investigation all female students of Islamic Azad University, Islamshahr branch.20 persons were selected as a sample by suing multi-stage cluster sampling method. The subjects randomly were placed in two control and experiment group (10 persons in each group). From experimental and control Groups recieved per test (General Health Questionnaire) and experimental group recieved 8 sessions of Gestalt therapy in group and control group didn' t resive any therapy, then holded post test from each gorup (General Health Questionnaire).After calculation of differences between scores of per test and post test in control and experimental group in somatizations, anxity and somnipathy disorders and dysfunction disorders, depression and MENTAL HEALTH measures by using substantive t-test, results are as follows: Execution of group Gestalt therapy is effective in decreasing somatization, dysfunction disorders, depression and increasing MENTAL HEALTH totally, but exaction of this strategy therapy was not effective in decreasing anxity and somnipsthy.
