Abstract: 

The goal of the present research is to investingate the effect of the Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy on Marital Ajustment.The Quasi-experimental design with pretest, posttest and control group was used.The sample included 20 couples in Shiraz who were selected from four counseling centes. Couples werer randomly assigned into experimental and control groups. Dyadic Adjustment Scale was used in pre-test and post-test.Experimental group received 8 sessins of emotionally focused therapy, while control group received no treatment.t-test results of pretest and posttest revealed that there is a significant difference (p<0.01) between the two groups. EFT was also more effective for wifes rather than for their husbands.EFT omproved marital adjustment of experimental group compared with the control group.

Abstract: 

The purpose of this research has been investigation of the extent of effectiveness of teaching anger management on the reduction and control of anger in first grade female high school student in 13 area of eduction in Tehran.The method of research was semi-experimental with pre-posttest experimental and control groups. 70 students were selected by simple random samling and randomly assigned in experimental and control groups. The second version of Spielberg State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory (ST AXI-2) was used for pre-and post-test for anger expression. Experimental group received 6 sessions of 60 to 90 minutes of anger management program.Covariance analysis and LSD were used to test the hypothesizes. Results of the study showed that anger management education was effective on the reduction and control of female first grade students and thde need of feeling verbak anger expression and the anger expression out (p<0.1), reducing the need of feeling of physical anger expression and the anger experssion in (p<0.5), reducing the anger temperament (p<0.1).

Abstract: 

The aim of this study IS to determine the effectiveness of psycho--educational strategies and silution-focused group counseling on decrease of marital conflict of dual-career couples. The subjects were selected using random samling.16 couples were selected and assigned into three groups (two experimental and one control group). Then the experimental group participated in psycho-educational and solution-focused interventions.Data were collected using Barati and Sanai marital conflict questionnaire. Data were analyzed using mixed design and t test. Results showed that psychp-educational strategies are effective in decreasing marital conflicts of dual-career couples (p<0.01). Solution-focused group counseling is effective in decreasing marital conflict of dual-career couples (p<0.01).No significant difference was observed in effectiveness of psycho-educational strategies and solution-focused group counseling (P<0.05). The results also showed that solution-focused group counseling is more effective than psycho-educational strategies in decreasing child support seeking dimension of marital conflict. In other dimensions of marital conflict no significant differences were observed.

Abstract: 

The present study investiogates the correlation between spiritual well-being and mental health in university srudents. The research sample consisted of 223 university students (110 males and 113 females), who took spiritual Well-being Scale and General Health Questionnaire. The results of the study showed that there is a significant correlation between spiritual well-being and mental health.Nevertheless, there was no significant correlation between spiritual well-being and physical complaints, anxiety, spcial dysfunctioning and depression.The results of the regression analysis showed that religious and existential well-being significantly anticipated mental health. Sitll another finding was that spiritual and existential well-being infemales was significantly higher than in males. There was no sex-related difference in mental health scores.

Abstract: 

The present investigation is done with the purpose of the effect of Gestalt therapy approach in group method in promotion mental health of female students of Islamic Azad University-Islamshahr. Statical population of present investigation all female students of Islamic Azad University, Islamshahr branch.20 persons were selected as a sample by suing multi-stage cluster sampling method. The subjects randomly were placed in two control and experiment group (10 persons in each group). From experimental and control Groups recieved per test (General Health Questionnaire) and experimental group recieved 8 sessions of Gestalt therapy in group and control group didn' t resive any therapy, then holded post test from each gorup (General Health Questionnaire).After calculation of differences between scores of per test and post test in control and experimental group in somatizations, anxity and somnipathy disorders and dysfunction disorders, depression and mental health measures by using substantive t-test, results are as follows: Execution of group Gestalt therapy is effective in decreasing somatization, dysfunction disorders, depression and increasing mental health totally, but exaction of this strategy therapy was not effective in decreasing anxity and somnipsthy.

Abstract: 

The goal of present research is to investigate the effectiveness of group counseling with behavioral-recognition attitude for decreasing anxiety and increasing demonstration for high school boy students.The method of this research is pseudo-tentative and the used plan is pre-test and post-test with group control. The statistical society of this research consist of state boy high school of Parsabad Moghan city in school year 2005-2006 (N=2969). The statistical sample accidental research is 20 students which have been selected by cluster accidental smapling and has fall within 2 tentative and control group accidentally.The tools used in this research include Ketel anxiety questionnaire with 40 three options questions and Gambril and Richy courage questionnaire with 40 five options questions that have been implemented in pre-test and post-test for tentative and control group. The group counseling with behavioral- recognition attitude have been hold in II one and half hour meeting for tentative group. The data of this research have been analyzed with t correlative statistical method and independent t and Pearson correlative coefficient that their results include: 1- Group counseling with behavioral-recognition attitude that will decrease anxiety of students (P<0.05).2- Group counseling with behavioral-recognition attitude that will increase the demonstration of students (P<0.05).

Abstract: 

The purpost of this study was to evaluate the effect of Group Spiritual Interventions onmental health and self-actualization of female students.The statistical population was all of the female students of Shahid Beheshti University (30 female BSe./BA). Students were participated in the study based on public announcements III different places of the university inviting volunteers to participate in the study. All participants answered to the General Health Questionnaire (GHQ) and the Ahvaz Self-Actualization Inventory (AS AI) as pre-test. Based on results of GHQ participant were matched in paire and randomly assigned into two control and experimental groups.The experimental group participated in 8 of two houres sessions of spiritual interventions. The spiritual interventions was done in four axis: the individual's relationship with god, with nature, with others and with him or herself.The control group didn't received any intervention. The intervention instruments consisted of religious, literary and video materials. When the interventions were done, the GHQ and ASAI were answered again by all particioants as post-test.Results indicated that although the spiritual interventions decreased the GHQ scores, but due to the smallness of the sample group the differences were not significant. In terms of self- actualization howevere, it was revealed that the interventions had significantly the self-actualization scores.
