Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of cognitive-Behavioral, Islamic and Transactional Analysis couple therapy Sessions on MARITAL ADJUSTMENT of incompatible couples. The research procedure was quasi experimental with pre-test and post-test design and control group. Statistical samples consist of 90 couples as experiment group and 30 couples as control group. Subjects were selected randomly from couples who referred to family courts or Tabriz Counseling Centers. Instrument was Spanier MARITAL ADJUSTMENT Questionnaire. The experimental groups participated in 10-12 sessions of cognitive-Behavioral, Islamic and Transactional Analysis couple therapy sessions. The results of analysis of covariance showed that conducting cognitive-Behavioral, Islamic and Transactional Analysis couple therapy increased MARITAL ADJUSTMENT of incompatible couples.Cognitive-Behavioral couple therapy was more efficient than Islamic and Transactional analysis couple therapy.
