Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between SOCIAL SUPPORT and its components with HAPPINESS among students. Using cluster random sampling 800 students were selected. Then SOCIAL SUPPORT questionnaire and Oxford HAPPINESS questionnaire administrated. Hypothesis of research were tested using Pearson coefficient correlation and t test. The results showed that SOCIAL SUPPORT and its components has significant relationship with HAPPINESS (P<0.01). The difference of relationship between SOCIAL SUPPORT and HAPPINESS among female and male students as well as in single and married students is no significant. The degree of SOCIAL SUPPORT among male and female as well as marred and single students is no different. The results of regression showed that the components of SOCIAL SUPPORT overall explain %23 of HAPPINESS variance.
