Abstract: 

The objective of this research is to examine the effectiveness of solution-focused therapy on decreasing the behavioral problems (externalizing) of children and adolescents. Method of research was semi - experimental. Pre-test and posttest was used for control depperimental groups. Statistical population of this research were elementary and high school students of Cityh of Sari.16 children from elementary 1001 and 16 adolescents from high school with clinical signs of behavioral problems (externalizing) were randomly selected and asigned in two experimental and two control groups.This research was conducted based on Achenbach system of empirically based assessment. The theory of Solution-Focused Therapy of De Shazer was used as the tent of the sessions.The children group received eight one hour weekly sessions the adolescent group received eight one and half hour weekly sessions. The resulting data was examined and interpreted using the analysis of variance method.results indicate that the solution-focused therapy method was effective on reduction thie behavioral problems (externalizing) of children and adolescence participated in experiment.

Abstract: 

The objective of this study is to compare the effectiveness of solution-focused brief therapy, the quadripartite model of social competence and a fusion model of these two methods on increasing social competence of female students residing in Tehran dormitories. The Statistical population of this study consists of female students residing in Tehran public university dormitories during the 2008-2009 academic years. The studied sample includes 60 patients, randomly placed in three experimental groups and one control group. The members of the experimental groups participated in 6 sessions of solution-focused, 14 sessions of the quadripartite model of social competence and 16 sessions of the fusion model treatment. Analysis of covariance has been used to test the difference between group means. The results demonstrate that all three treatment.

Abstract: 

The present research investigates the relationship between family function and emotional intelligence as a set of abilities (perception, appraising and expressing of emotion, the adjustment and management of emotion, and utilization of emotion in problem solving).The research is a relationship study. The sample consisted of 235 adolescents (aged 12 to 15) who were selected from among second and third grades of guidance school in Tehran through multi-stage cluster sampling. These subjects were asked to fill out the Schutte emotional intelligence scale and the family assessment device (FAD). The results revealed that family function (dysfunction) is significantly and negatively correlated with emotional intelligence, and the problem solving sub-scale is known as one of the predicators of emotional intelligence. The results also showed that adolescents with lower than five family members significantly scored on the emotional intelligence higher than adolescents with more than five family members. Also girls scored higher than boys on the total EI score and all the other sub-scales.

Objectives: In this study the main objective is to investigate and explain the Islamic humanitarian attitude and it's effects on mental health.Method: We managed to investigate the effects of Islamic humanitarian attitude on mental health, using hermeneutic method which is based on individual legal reasoning, moronic contexts and Islamic swing.Results: From Islamic point of view, human being is autonomous and free creature, has a great tendency toward self-actualization, perfection, and strong relation with God and the truth.Human structure is formed in a way that through rational, social and spiritual guidance, and by nurturing his mental, emotional and spiritual abilities, can prevent the mental, moral, spiritual, socail and behavioral problems he is facing. Also, he can, modify his abnormal structure to overcome mental problems and to improve his mental health.Discussion: In this life, in terms of the Islamic counseling, not only should we pay attention to promote our mental system to live peacefully, but also we should try to set the ground to stay in peace in the life after death.

Abstract: 

The aim of the study was to investigate the relationships among college and social self efficacy beliefs, social support and meaning in life. Two hundred and fifty university students (121 male and 129 female) were included in this study. All participants were asked to complete College Self-Efficacy Inventory, Scale of Perceived Social Self-Efficacy, Purpose-In-Life Test, and Social Support Appraisals Scale. In order to analyze the data, t test and stepwise multiple regression method were utilized. The findings of this study show that there were significant differences in some of subscales of social self-efficacy, meaning in life, and social support was significantly higher than boys. Furthermore, 37 percent of total variance of meaning in life in female student could be estimated by college self efficacy beliefs, cooperation, literacyh of mother and peer support. Also, in male student, Regression analyses also revealed that 26 percent of total variance of criterion variable was predicted by college self efficacy and social self-efficacy.In conclusion, college self efficacy was the best predictor of meaning in life in male and female student.

Abstract: 

The aim of this research is to study the relationship between personality traits with marital satisfaction of dual-carrer couples in the delfan education organization. The sample of the research included 238 subjects (119 couple) to in vestigate the relationships carefully, an exhaustive sampling has been used, and all the statistical society were studied. Date was collected through administration of NEO-Five Factor Inventory and ENRICH questionnaire.In addition to methods of descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation test and multiple regression analysis have been to analyses the data.The results of the study showed that in all subjects negative relationship between neuroticism personality factor and marital satisfaction. But extraversion, agreeableness and conscientiousness factors were positively correlated with marital satisfaction. Also, there is no significant relationship between openness and marital satisfaction. In reply to research questions it was determined that neuroticism and conscientiousness predicting overall %45 marital satisfaction changes in couples. In the other side the results show that woman personality has a more important role in marital satisfaction.

Abstract: 

The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between social support and its components with happiness among students. Using cluster random sampling 800 students were selected. Then Social support questionnaire and Oxford happiness questionnaire administrated. Hypothesis of research were tested using Pearson coefficient correlation and t test. The results showed that social support and its components has significant relationship with happiness (P<0.01). The difference of relationship between social support and happiness among female and male students as well as in single and married students is no significant. The degree of social support among male and female as well as marred and single students is no different. The results of regression showed that the components of social support overall explain %23 of happiness variance.
