Abstract

The aim of this research is to improve general health in patients with multiple sclerosis using group therapy on the basis of Frankl theory. This is a semiexperimental study with pre-and post-tests. After applying the General Health Questionair (GHQ) on the participants, 20 patients with scores over the standard level (23 or more) were chjosen randomly as the subjects. Then they were divided by half for exerimental and control groups. Both groups were pre-and post-tested. The results indicated that the group therapy on the basis of Frankl theory leads to reduction of depression, anxiety and physical signs, as well as enhancing the rate of general health and social performance of the subjects.
