In this research, simple and complex relationship of test anxiety and its components with academic performance of female third grade guidance school students in Behbahan have been investigated. The population includes all female third grade guidance school students in Behbahan in academic year 1386-87. The sample consisted of 180 students who were selected randomly by multistage sampling method. The instrument used in this research was Spielberger Test Anxiety Scale. The mean score of the subject's at the end of the first semester was considered as an index for their educational performance. Research methodology was of correlation coefficient type. For analysis of the results, descriptive statistics such as mean, standard deviation, and lowest and highest scores from inferential statistics, correlation coefficient and regression were used. The results indicated that there was a negative correlation between students test axiety, its components and their academic performance. Also, the results of multiple regression showd that the two components of test anxiety (worry & emotionality) has significant correlation with the academic performance of students.
