Abstract

The main purpose of this research is examining relationship between ATTACHMENT STYLES andlocus of control with MARITAL ADJUSTMENT in infertile and fertile couples of Tehran.For this purpose, the study domain consists of 100 infertile and 100 fertile couples in Tehran, selected by accessible sampling method. The Relationship Attachment Scales (Collins & Read), Rutter's LOCUS OF CONTROL and Spiners MARITAL ADJUSTMENT Questionnaires were by all selected couples. For analyzing the research's hypothesis, the descriptive statistic indicators and inferential statistic tests, such as in-group variance analysis, bidirectional variance analysis and Tukey's HSD test, were administered. The Results show that MARITAL ADJUSTMENT of fertile and INFERTILE COUPLES with secure attachment style is higher than couples with non-secure attachment style It was the same with couples who have internal LOCUS OF CONTROL (they were higher than those who have external LOCUS OF CONTROL). Additionally, we found a significant difference between groups in scope of ATTACHMENT STYLES and LOCUS OF CONTROL. Also, MARITAL ADJUSTMENT was higher in fertile copies in comparison with INFERTILE COUPLES. The results also show that there is a significant corelation of MARITAL ADJUSTMENT between all groups, that is fertile and infertile men.
